I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
